It suits organisations that have plans in place but have not tested whether those plans reflect how the business actually operates today.
A Post-Incident Review is an independent assessment of how an organisation's crisis management arrangements performed under the pressure of a real event. Left of Boom examines the response across every layer involved, from site and tactical teams through the Incident Management Team to the Crisis Management Team and executive, including interfaces with emergency services and external agencies.
The review follows a structured five-phase methodology:
Reviews capture strengths to preserve as well as improvement areas, are conducted with welfare considerations integrated throughout, and focus on organisational improvement rather than individual performance.
Left of Boom has conducted post-incident reviews following underground mine fatalities, major industrial fires, cyber attacks, natural disasters, and multi-agency emergency responses.
